Blood Donation Camp & Educational Kit Distribution to HIV Positive Children by Sterlite Copper

Tuticorin, June 13, 2015: Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited is organising Blood Donation Camp followed by Education Kit Distribution for the HIV Positive Children on June 13, 2015 in Seminar Hall, Medical College Hospital, Thoothukudi at 09:30 AM.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Mr. Ajay K Jajoo, General Manager – Finance, Sterlite Copper. 105 Employees from Sterlite Copper and nearby community members voluntarily donated blood in this camp

The Education Kit Distribution program was presided over by Dr. Shantha Kumar, Dean – Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital in the presence of Mr. D Dhanavel, Assistant Vice President – Commercial, Sterlite Copper and distribution of educational kits to 77 HIV positive children residing in and around Thoothukudi was done.

Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer & Head CSR, Sterlite Copper and Dr Silas Jebamani, Resident Medical Officer, Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital was also present during this program. The event is solely the contribution of the employees of Sterlite Copper in extending their support for the welfare of the community.
