Prize Distribution of Universal Rolling Trophy State Level Football Tournament

Thoothukudi:Thoothukudi District Football Association under the auspices of Tamil Nadu Football Association in association with Sterlite Copper, TMB & DCW organized “28th Champion Club Tournament for Universal Rolling Trophy (State Level Football Tournament)” between August 7, 2015 and August 15, 2015 at SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium), Thoothukudi.

36 teams were participated in this tournament across Tamil Nadu. The final match was played between St. Joseph College, Trichy and Poovai, Thiruvallur at SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium), Thoothukudi on 15.08.2015. St. Joseph College, Trichy won the tournament by 3-1 against Poovai, Thiruvallur.

The Valedictory and Prize Distribution ceremony was preside over by Mr J Jesiah Villavarayar, President – Tamil Nadu Football Association and Thoothukudi District Football Association.

The winner’s trophy was handed over to St. Joseph College Team by Dr P Arun Sakthi Kumar IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi. All the team members of St. Joseph College Team were honoured with medallions by Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer & Head CSR, Sterlite Copper, Thoothukudi.

The runner’s trophy was handed over to Poovai Team by Mr HS Upendra Kamath, MD & CEO, Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank. All the team members of Poovai Team were honoured with medallions by Mr Subhash Tandon, EVP, DCW Limited, Sahupuram.
