Thoothukudi, August 15: Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Limited, Thoothukudi celebrated the 70th Independence Day with patriotic fervor in the industry premises today.

Mr D Dhanavel, Head Commercial, HSE, CSR & Expansion Projects, Sterlite Copper hoisted the national flag. Our security personnel put up a splendid ceremonial parade.

While delivering his address, Mr D Dhanavel made a special mention about the altruistic sacrifices of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the Independence of our country and asked us reminisce their selfless devotion to mother India. He also presented prizes to the security officers for their outstanding commitment to duty.

Sterlite Copper Officials Capt. Sonica Muraleedharan, Head HR, Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical officer & Head CSR, Mr KR Anup, Head – Security, Security Team and Employees were also present during the occasion.
