Sterlite Copper inaugurates School Sanitation Complexes on World Toilet Day.

Thoothukudi, November 19, 2016: Sterlite Copper towards continuous endeavour to improve sanitation and hygiene facilities of surrounding communities has constructed three school sanitation complexes in TNDTA Primary School, Meelavittan, TNDTA Primary School, Periyanayagipuram and RC Primary School, Vadakusilukkanpatti.

Mr. K. Rajamani, I.A.S., Commissioner & Special Officer, Thoothukudi Corporation inaugurated the School Sanitation Complexes in presence of Mr. C. Murugeswaran, Business Head – Power & Acids, Sterlite Copper & Mr. D. Dhanavel, Head – Commercial, HSE & CSR. This initiative towards Swachh Bharat on World Toilet Day emphasizes vitality of Sanitation complexes usage for the school students.

Till day, Sterlite Copper has spent 1.28 Crores to build 315 individual toilets in Theerkuveerapandiapuram, Vadakkusilukannpatti & a village in Milavittan benefiting 2000 people and spent 27 Lakhs to build 6 School Sanitation Complexes benefiting 6000 students.
