Thoothukudi, Sep 22: Sterlite Copper has organised ‘Walk with CEO’ in Sterlite Tamira 1 Campus today. This walk is in accordance with the Stepathlon 2015 movement organised globally. Sterlite Copper consecutively for the second year is participating in Stepathlon Movement.

Stepathlon 2015 started on September 2, 2015 and is a pedometer-based, mass participation event for organisations of all sizes across all industries and countries. It provides access to a fun, engaging and interactive online race that encourages participants to be more active everyday.

Mr P Ramnath, CEO – Sterlite Copper led the Stepathletes of Sterlite Copper in the walk, emphasised on ‘Health is Wealth’ and encouraged Stepathletes to keep up this initiative they have taken up for Health. The programme witnessed enthusiastic Stepathletes who participated in the walk followed by an exciting game. Prizes were distributed to the winning team in the game.

Special Prize was given to the team – ‘Dukes of Copper’ of Sterlite Copper captained by Mr. Ramesh Ganesh, Head Instrumentation for being listed as the Top 5th team World Wide and 1st team in Vedanta Group. The team till day from the start of the competition has walked 30,04,546 steps. Totally 5435 employees are participating from Vedanta and more than 300 people from Sterlite Copper have participated in this 100 days Stepathlon Movement.
