Thoothukudi, 5 June 2017: Today, Sterlite Copper has celebrated world Environment Day at Its premises. Program started with Flag Hoisting by Mr. P. Ramnath, CEO Sterlite Copper. While addressing the gathering he emphasized on the importance of the day and reinstated for all our commitment for the protection of environment and responsible utilization of resources. He also told that our planet is the only planet, which has all suitable living conditions for human being. Further, he said that we should be happy for the given opportunity to live in this planet and remind all that everyone is having the responsibility to conserve our mother nature for the future generations.

Sterlite Copper, as part of Environment Day celebration has planted 600 various specious of tree saplings in green belt area and distributed 500 saplings to its employees who participated in this celebration. On this occasions company has recognised personals known as green warriors for maintaining green belt area. Various competitions also was conducted for employees to enhance the awareness on environment amongst them.

Mr. Anshu Goel – COO, Mr. Anup Agarwal – CFO, Capt Sonica Muraleedharan – Head HR and more than 500 employees from sterlite Copper also participated in the event.
